Bronze bell from around 1580, cast by the Castelli Foundry, active in Venice. The wording "OPUS CASTELLI" is written along the edge and images of a cardinal and some saints are depicted.
The foundry has been active since the early 1500s, and is still documented at the end of the 18th century, managed by the heirs sisters Caterina and Anna Castelli, who cast a bell for the church of San Luca. Furthermore, some research confirms that this foundry also made large pharmacy mortars.
