Sight or aiming device for Mortar 81 Mod. 35, produced by Officine G. Mancini -Rome- in 1941 and used by the Royal Italian Army during the Second World War.
The aiming device is equipped with a socket with a dovetail heel with spring stop useful for being inserted on the carriage, there is a fork with appendage (right arm of the fork) with shooting angle sector and graduation in sexagesimal degrees from 40° to 90°.
The body is made up of a support plate and appendage with an arm holding the index for the graduation of the shooting angles, with a screw pin and wing nut; from a prismatic box with tangent screw, multiplier and index of thousandths of the direction; an index of hectogrades; an elevation level; an azimuthal disk with crown gear; direction plate graduated in hectodegrees from zero to 64, with pin; parallelism plate graduated 20° in 20°; pressure screw; the head with prismatic block with index; collimator with index and pin; screw with knurled head and spiral spring.
The aiming device is in like new condition with 100% original browning, its leather, canvas and wooden case is present in perfect condition. Its mechanical parts work correctly and precisely.
