Binoculars 4x15 MINAR - C.I.D.A, Centro de Investigaciones y Desarrollo de la Armada, around 1950

MINAR model 4x15 binoculars with Sprenger-Leman prisms, produced in the 1950s by the C.I.D.A.- Centro de Investigaciones y Desarrollo de la Armada (Research and Development Center of the Spanish Navy) in a limited number of specimens to be intended for officers of the Spanish Navy. There is also a civilian version, produced by LTIEMA for ENOSA which is totally inspired by the technical and aesthetic characteristics of this military version.

All lenses are coated with a particular anti-reflective treatment thus allowing clear and bright vision.

It is a truly versatile and pocket-sized jewel, with small dimensions, 11 centimeters wide, with a weight of only 165 grams.

All mechanisms work precisely and the view is perfect, sharp and collimated.


History of CIDA:

The CIDA, with resolution 320/38007/2011 of 10 January of the Secretary of State for Defense, was abolished and its activities, functions and skills were integrated into the "La Marañosa" Technological Institute (BOE of 24 January 2011).
