Binoculars 7x50 produced by the company Officine Galileo - F.lli Koristka Milano in about 1929, assigned to the Genio Aerostieri of the Italian Royal Air Force in a period between 1929 and 1933, the year in which the "Gruppo Aerostieri del Genio" was suppressed.
On the left eyepiece plate, there is the rare logo that unites the pairing of 2 of the most important optical companies of the time, namely the "Officine Galileo - Florence" and the company "Fratelli Koristka - Milan". This is due to the fact that, in 1929, the Officine Galileo acquired the company F.lli Koristka. Despite this, for some years, all Koristka production continued to bear its own brand except for those binoculars, as in the case of this model, owned by the Officine Galileo, but also made in the Koristka factories under concession/license.
On the right eyepiece plate also, in addition to the brand relating to the "Glauco" model and the "7x50" format, there is the assignment to the "Gruppo Aerostieri del Genio" of the Royal Air Force.
These are binoculars produced in just 4 years in a very limited number of examples since, on May 15, 1933 with the exception of an aerostieri company and the photography company that became part of the 8th Engineer Regiment, the Aerostieri Group was suppressed.
The reticle is present in the right eyepiece and the view is excellent and collimated.
All the mechanisms work correctly.
