Doppelfernrohr 15x60 produced by Carl Zeiss in Vienna, around 1916, in a limited number of examples, supplied to the Fussartillerie departments (Foot Artillery).

In fact, on the right eyepiece plate, there are the words "Fussa." (abbreviation of Fussartillerie - Foot Artillery), "D.F. 15x (Doppelfernrohr 15x) and the number "88" (most likely the number relating to the assignment/identifying the department). On the left eyepiece plate there is a very rare version of the Zeiss logo, namely "C. Zeiss Wien".

This binoculars designed in an extremely robust way for the use for which they were intended, have very bright lenses that make vision clear and very sharp.

The binoculars is in excellent condition, the vision is excellent, perfectly collimated and bright. All mechanisms work perfectly and precisely.


The Zeiss Vienna plant was built and founded in 1916, in the 14th district of Vienna, Penzing located to the west of the city.
