Jumelle 10x60-8.8 ° TYPE A, produced in 1954 by S.R.P.I. (Societè de Recherche et de Perfectionnement Industrielle), Puteaux, for the French Marine Nationale.
It was specially designed to be installed on the decks of ships in a "permanent position" therefore it is completely made of bronze and its weight is about 12 kg.
The binoculars offer the observer a field of view of around 95° and thanks to the extraordinary objective lenses and impressive 41 mm eyepieces with anti-reflective coating, the view is perfectly clear.
The two knobs placed above it are suitable for the insertion of the gray filter and both are perfectly functional while the interpupillary distance is adjusted with the knob on the right side of the binoculars, which also works precisely.
There is the reticle in the right eyepiece.
The binoculars are kept in excellent condition and fully functional in all their parts, complete with their original transport case.
