Bronze Bust 92nd Legion "F. Ferrucci" Florence M.V.S.N. circa 1938

Bronze bust, depicting a young militiaman in uniform, belonging to the "92nd Legione Francesco Ferrucci" of Florence, part of the Volunteer Militia for National Security, M.V.S.N.

The imposing bust is fixed to its original and precious base in fine white Carrara marble, where the inscription "92^ Legione F. Ferrvcci" is carved on the front while the inscription "M.V.S.N." is carved on the two sides.

On this Bronze, made using the lost wax casting technique, there is a medal on the jacket, just above the relative ribbon (most likely the March on Rome), the badge with the Florentine Lily which originally indicated belonging to the militia of the Florentine Legion. Subsequently this shield was also adopted on the uniform of the "Manganiello Black Brigade" of Florence.

The work was commissioned by the Command of the 92nd Legion, created and signed by the master sculptor V. Biagini, who, through the image of a young militiaman, wanted to impersonate the courage and pride of this extraordinary Florentine Legion of the M.V.S.N. (Volunteer Militia for National Security) and displayed at the entrance to your barracks.
