German bidecal helmet, model 35, called "Civic Stub Bill", supplied to units made up of a very small number of soldiers, with special assignments, of the "Polizei SD" inside the concentration camps.
On the right side we find a decal in the shape of a shield with a swastika, while on the opposite side another decal, also a shield, has a stylized "S" inside; identifies the department mentioned.
The following marks are visible on the inner leather: “D DRGM 1941 (KOELN)”, Size “59”.
The interior, the wedge, the fairing and the relative fixing rivets are untouched and never tampered with.
We know of the existence of only two other specimens found inside the concentration camp of Baden, by American "GI soldiers" at the end of the war. One of the two mentioned helmets is kept in the important American private collection of the John P. Coy Collection.
