"Schiffsuhr or Borduhr" clock, produced by Kieninger & Obergfell (Current Kundo), the only company producing this clock model, for the Kriegsmarine.
It was installed on a U-boat operating at the "Nordsee" bases located in the North Sea.
The clock, completely made of brass, has a silver dial and features the Reichsadler on the left side with "M" (Marine) underneath, relating to acceptance by the Kriegsmarine, while on the right side the "N" (Nordsee) mark as well as the number "XXXX" or, in all probability, the assignment number to a U-boat forming part of a Flotilla operating in the North Sea.
The caseback bears the same number as the dial of the case and mechanism.
The clock, having a manual winding mechanism with an 8-day reserve, is in perfect working order and extremely precise.
Excellent storage conditions.
